Can someone with a peanut allergy eat soybean?

I have peanut allergy and I wanted to know, Am I also allergic to soybean? soybean is also a type of nut and I think I might not be able to take this too.

we just found out my son is allergic to beef, peanuts and soy so it is possible. He seems to be more allergic to the beef & soy than the peanuts though. Soy is in everything. I am having a hard time finding things he can eat
Just because someone has peanut allergic. it does not mean that he will be allergic to other legumes too. Most of the peanut allergic people could take other legumes even if they are positive to the tests as they can somewhat tolerate them. Soy allergy is found in 44% of peanut allergic patients.
