How do allergies trigger asthma attacks?

I am allergic to dust and due to it I also have asthma. I wanted to know as to what is there in allergies that triggers asthma attacks. Is the two related of due to allergy only these asthma attacks come.

    No asthma are not only caused by allergies. There are types of asthma that are caused due to exercise, cold air, GERD etc.

    Allergy and asthma can causes together. Substances that trigger allergy can also trigger asthma by inflaming your airways and thus causing shortness of breath wheezing etc.

    Allergic response affects lining of nose and airways. Antibodies of your blood when exposed to allergens the symptoms can occur. These antibodies inturn triggers symptoms like nasal congestion, inflamation of airways, scratchy eyes etc that are associated with asthma.
