Vajrasana – A simple Asana for digestive troubles

Benefits of Vajrasana:
- This asana eliminates gas troubles and helps in digestion
- The systematic practice of this asana helps in knee, leg, feet and thigh pain.
- Regular practice of this asana increases the secretion from the gland. White blood corpuscles production is increased in spleen tonsils, marrow and other parts of the body.
- Reduces the chance of diseases such as fever, constipation and indigestion.
- This asana could be performed just after meal to stimulate digestion.
Method:
Bend your legs at the knees. Now place your heels at the side of the hips in such a way that your thigh rests on the legs and buttocks rest on the heels. Stretch arms and place the hands on the knees. Keep both the knees close to each other. Keep trunk, neck and head in a straight line by sitting in an erect position. One could hold on this posture for a bit long time due to its simplicity.
Note: The knee and ankles could ache in the beginning but the pain would subside with regular practice.
