  • Do not use a brush on curly hair, always use a comb.
  • Try as often as possible to allow curly hair to dry naturally.
  • Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner as curly hair can be very dry.
  • Use silicone based products after washing and towel drying your hair. Use your fingers to detangle your hair.
  • Learn how to control your hair by controlling your frizz. The best remedy for curly hair is to avoid over styling. This will lead to frizz.
  • Always use products that have been designed for curly hair.
  • Never comb your hair when it is dry, this causes frizz, and breakage. Use a wide toothed comb that has been designed for curly hair. Never use a narrow toothed comb as this is just frizz waiting to happen.
  • Learn about your hair and find the products that suit you.

As you can see the main remedy for curly hair is to learn to control and combat frizz. Once you can do this you really will have control over your curly hair allowing you to show off your curls with perfection.

    Your first tip–using a leave-in, is right on. Please try Mixed Chicks products. Your frizz will go away. I guarantee it.

    Hi im so made up i found a site about curly hair its great.I have shoulder lengh hair very thick hair and also very curly and has got lots of volume. I have tight ringlets underneath and on top its got a lovely curl but does not curl like it does underneath its not a promblem but do u think im doing something wrong.I dont use a hairdryer i leave my hair to dry on its own.i do have atrim every 4/5 wks. I do use a leave n conditioner in sunslik for curly hair its brill.also my hair never seems to grow downwards why is? this
