    • Previous Injuries

    • Rheumatoid Arthritis
      There are more chances for those people who are suffering from rheumatoid arthritis to get ankle arthritis. A person suffering from rheumatoid will have inflammation in the joint and even cartilage damage.
    • Infections
      Infections sometimes might be very dangerous and might be lasting permanently. One of the reasons for this is due to lack of regrowth of cartilage cells.
    • Body Weights
      People with heavy weight have the high risk of facing ankle arthritis as they have a heavy burden on knees, feet and ankles. There is high risk of damaging cartilage in their joints because the entire body falls on the legs.

    Symptoms of Ankle Arthritis
    One of the commonly found pain among the people suffering from ankle arthritis is joint pain. People are treated surrounding the pain associated the joint.

    • Ankle Stiffness
      When you have stiff ankle then you might not be able to go for your regular running workouts. If you find any pain in your ankle and if you are not able to do your workouts then this can be considered as one of the symptoms of ankle arthritis.
    • Swelling
      If you find any swelling surrounding ankle then this is the most commonly found signs among runners when there is an ankle arthritis.
    • Bone spurs might be one of them
      One of the signs among the ankle arthritis is bone spur. If you have a bone spur then you can consider this to be one of the symptoms of ankle arthritis.
    • Deformity
      Sometimes, there will be deformities in the knee joint and even in the ankle. If you have any deformities in the ankle then you need to treat this immediately. If you delay this, then there are chances for the other injuries.
    • Instability
      Lack of stability during running can be another symptom of ankle arthritis. If you find instability in ankle during running then this can be considered as another symptom of ankle arthritis.
