    Herbal Treatments for Lung Cancer from Smoking

    What is lung cancer?
    It is one of the most common cancers. It has a number of causes, one of the primary ones being smoking tobacco. Malignant cells may attack one type of cells or the whole lung. There are two kinds of lung cancer, small cell lung carcinoma and non-small cell carcinoma. The small cell carcinoma spreads faster to other parts of the body. Its typical symptoms are difficulty in breathing, coughing and excessive sudden weight loss. Its prognosis is usually not very favorable.

    Herbal treatments for lung cancer from smoking
    Although most doctors are still very apprehensive about using alternative and herbal medications for treating cancers, it is now becoming more and more evident that they can help greatly in the healing process. These herbal medications can be used by themselves but are best used in combination with more conventional treatments like chemotherapy.

    Herbs used to treat lung cancer

    • Green tea: You can make fresh tea using leaves or extract and have two or three cups daily, making sure that the brew is free of caffeine. It has anticancer and antioxidant properties.
    • Olive leaf: You can use the fresh leaf or the extract to make a brew and have it two or three times a day. It improves immunity and has anticancer properties.
    • Lobelia: It is a herb that can be used to relax and soothe the lungs. It is known for its calming properties.
    • Ginger root: This is a herb that helps stimulate the lungs and aid better breathing and recuperation from disease.
    • Mullein leaf and flower: The flower has a soothing effect on the lungs. The leaf helps in stimulating and normalizing the functioning of the mucous membranes in the lungs.
    • Lungwort Lichen: It has a soothing effect on the lungs. It also gives support to lung tissues to help them become normal and fight disease.
    • Long pepper fruit: it works as a stimulant for the lungs that help the lungs function more efficiently.
    • Sweet Violet leaf and flower: they soothe the lungs and give support for the lungs to function normally and fight the disease and debilitation.

    These can be used in different combinations depending on the health of the individual and the extent of damage to the lungs. These can help bring the individual back to health after treatment procedures as they are not only healing but rejuvenating as well.
