Cataract vision occurs when the lens in the eye becomes cloudy, thus affecting the formation of clear vision in the eye. This condition is usually noticed in older people and it seems that it arrives with the growing age. The condition of cataract affect either one single eye or both the eyes. It can even spread from one eye to another eye.

    Causes For Cataract Vision:

The formation of vision takes place with the help of the lens which is placed behind the iris and pupil. The functioning of the eye is very much similar to that of the camera. Where the light is focused on the retina placed at the back of the eye and the image is recorded. The lens in the eye is adjusted so as to focus the things clearly whether they are closely located or located at a far distance.

The lens of the eyes are made up of protein and water. The placement of protein is done in such a way that it keeps the lens clean and also allows the light to pass through it. As we age the protein present in the eye starts clumping together and clouds the lens making it difficult to see through it. The main cause this clouding is not yet known but there is a view that excessive smoking and diabetes can be a reason for the same.
