Eyeglass Frames for Teens: Top 5 Tips to Look Fabulous

Teens can be very picky when they have to select eyeglass frames. The experience can be overwhelming at times. But if you want to look fantastic, then read the following tips that will help you to pick a smart pair of eyeglass frames.

Tip 1: Eyeglass frame should complement your face color, features and shape.

Oval and round eyeglass frames perfectly suit square or angular face. The same holds true for the opposite also; angular or square frames are the perfect choice for oval or round face. If you have got a heart-shaped face, then you should select a frame that is wider or heavier at the bottom edge. This helps in even out your face. Otherwise, if your face is heavier or wider on the bottom, you can select a frame that has a dramatic top edge.

The eyeglass frame’s bridge can determine how your nose and your eyes look. Also, the color of the frame should suit your hair color, skin color and skin tone. Most metal and vibrant colors like turquoise look wonderful on warm skin. Even brown looks nice. The colors that complement cool skin tones are muted, silver and gray colors.

Tip 2: Proper fitting required to look good and work right

Glare and visual distortion can occur if you select an eyeglass frame that is too large in size. On the contrary, you may reduce your peripheral vision if your frame size is too small. Your eyes should always look out of the lens’s center when you wear your eyeglasses.

Tip 3: Frames should match your lifestyle

If you are planning to get just one pair of eyeglasses, you won’t need a ultra-funky frame that you may wear only on wild Saturday night outs. Therefore, you should select only those frames that complement your style and matches most of your moods.

Tip 4: Few prescriptions work best with specific frames

To correct nearsightedness, the eyeglass lenses are thicker on the edges than in the middle. The opposite holds true for eyeglass lenses needed to correct farsightedness.

    Tip 5:Variation in construction

You can select frames from metal, plastic or a combination of both. Usually, metal frames last longer, especially, titanium and stainless steel frames. But if you are allergic to metals but are keen on a metal frame, then you should choose metal frames that are hypoallergenic.
