    Sometimes you end up gaining more weight while working out and dieting. In this situation, lot of self doubts comes to your mind regarding why you are gaining weight when you are dieting and exercising. Do not get panicked. There are ways in which you can stop gaining weight.

    • In order to reduce your weight, doing any wok out will not help you out. Suppose, instead of doing brisk walking for 45 minutes,you end up in walking in the garden will not burn any calories. At least for 4 to 5 weeks you need to walk for 45 minutes in a decent place. There are other forms of working out such as yoga and dancing. You can include this in your work outs. Do not focus on one particular muscle group while working out. Focus on many muscle groups so that more energy will be burned off.
    • Sometimes we end up eating more calories without knowing. In order to lose weight, dieting and working out should go hand in hand. If your are taking more calories in your diet then you have to increase the time of work out. It will help you to burn off the additional amount of calories.
    • While you are dieting, you end up taking lesser amount of calories then what your body requires. Your body will slow down the rate of metabolism to preserve energy. The fat increases in the body results in gaining weight. You should include food which are rich in minerals and nutrients while dieting.
    • Eating too much of salty food also results in gaining weight. Salt makes your body to retain water which results in weight gain.
    • Gaining weight while exercising and working out is very common. You tend to lose fat while exercising but they are replaced by muscles. Muscles are heavier than fat. Weight gain happens due to muscle mass and not due to unwanted fat. Your body becomes heavier than what it was prior to workouts.
    • In spite of doing regular workouts and eating a proper balanced diet, there are people who still gain weight. Because of health problems such as menopause and thyroid can also increase the weight.
