    Breastfeeding woman can lose weight without following any special diet. How to get back in shape is the first thought that comes in mind to every pregnant women. During pregnancy, mostly women tends to gain weight. How to shed those extra pounds is what bothers most of the women.

    In order to lose weight quickly, women start following unhealthy diet which is not at all healthy for their body. Breastfeeding is one of the slow but healthy way of losing weight after pregnancy.

    Benefits of Breastfeeding and Weight Loss :-

    • Breastfeeding is a natural way to lose weight and get back into shape.One can lose weight by breastfeeding. Without following any particular diet plan or hitting any gym.
    • The extra fatty layers which are formed when a women is pregnant is supported by breastfeeding.
    • Most of the weight gained by the women during her pregnancy is in the form of tissues such as placenta blood which nourishes the baby later on. It is lost after through breastfeeding after childbirth.
    • It has been observed that women who breastfeed their babies will have larger reduction in their hip areas.

    Breastfeeding and Weight Loss Diet:-

    • It burns a good amount of calories when you produce milk and feed your baby.
    • Eat healthy diet.It will affect the quality of your breast milk.
    • Eat diet containing 100 calories a day in order to maintain the quality of milk.
    • During pregnancy, cereals, chicken, fish, lean meat and fruits are the main foods.
    • Follow varied and well balanced diet during breastfeeding. It will help you to lose weight without compromising on your baby’s health.

    Breastfeeding and Weight Loss Exercise:-

    • No matter you have given natural birth or cesarean, it is a good idea to go on a walk in the first week.
    • Go on a regular check up. After 6 weeks check up, you can find how your body is doing and whether your body is ready for formal exercises or not.
    • Consult your gynecologist in order to make sure that exercising won’t develop any complications such as postpartum bleeding or health problems.
    • Do not be obsessed about your diet plan. Eat healthy food. Do some exercise and breastfeeding are the most effective ways of weight loss.
