    Interval training combines high intensity and low intensity workouts. It is a wonderful way to build endurance and burn calories. Read on to learn more about how you can use interval training to lose weight.

    Interval Training
    Interval training is a great for those cannot go to the gym regularly. They can still keep fit and have toned muscles. Besides, interval training is more interesting than regular workouts.

    The Exercise Procedure
    Start your workout in the usual manner. Begin slowly and increase your heart rate gradually. After warming up adequately, prepare for high intensity exercises. For example, if you are on the treadmill, start jogging or sprinting, according to what high intensity means to you. Keep up the high intensity training till you feel a burning sensation in the muscles. Then, switch to low intensity workout. Your body would move into a recovery mode, which enhances your body’s capability to exchange carbon dioxide and oxygen.

    As a result, your muscles get nutrients. In this manner, continue your workout for about 30 minutes. Cardio is a great option for interval training. Keep in mind that your bursts of intense training should be lesser than your recovery period. Alternate aerobic exercise with anaerobic training.

    Weight Loss Exercises
    You can incorporate many exercises into your interval training regimen. These can include racquetball, squash, cycling, elliptical trainers and steppers. You can do one activity for some time and then move to another. Weights can also be used. If you are just starting out, do this type of exercise, once a week. Regular athletes can do it three times a week. Ensure to cool down after the workout by doing light stretching.

    Interval Training enhances Overall Health
    With interval training, you burn calories effectively and easily. Your cardiovascular fitness and metabolism increase. You can also develop endurance and agility. Injury is prevented, as you stretch and build muscles. Muscle soreness is also prevented as high and low intensity workouts are alternated. So, be persistent with your interval training regimen to lose weight.
