    Causes of running injury

    Running is the populous technique to stay fit. The most common and the easiest way to get injured. The common running injuries can be occurred to knees, hips, ankle and feet. If you ignore small injuries then you might immediately notice its impact on joints and muscles.

    The most common injuries are ankle sprains, chronic injury, Blisters, muscle cramps etc to name a few and every injury has a cause, because without a cause it is not easy to treat the injury..

    Various injuries and Causes
    The causes for these injured are mentioned below

    • Ankle sprain
      Ankle sprain occurs while stretching, ligaments tearing surrounding ankle joints.
    • Chronic injury
      The chronic injury that usually occurs in runners is Achilles tendinitis. There will be a pain in back portion of the ankle. If proper care is not taken, you might risk Achilles tendinitis.
    • Blisters
      This injury is occurred to the runners feet. Blisters are generally developed on the skin surface – on their feet.
    • Muscle cramps
      Muscles are sometimes contracted forcibly and cannot come back to normal relaxed state. Hence it is advised to take rest for certain time as to recover soon.
    • Over training
      The over training syndrome occurs frequently in those who are trained beyond body’s ability. Especially athletes trained for a competition will face this over training deficiency syndrome.
    • Groin pull
      Groin pull occurs when inner thigh muscles are stretched beyond limits.
    • Delayed onset
      Delayed onset muscle soreness occur, after an intense exercise, within in 24-48 hours.
    • Hamstring pull
      Hamstring pull is the common injury among runners. This can rupture the muscle at back thigh.
    • Shin splints
      Shin splints usually occur on the shin bone, in front of lower leg. Hence these shin splints are stress injury.
    • Stress fractures
      Stress fractures occurs when the practice is on hard surface repeatedly.
    • Tendinitis
      Inflammation of tendon is considered as tendinitis. Contraction of muscles forcefully causes micro tears. These micro tears are caused in micro fibers. Micro tears leads to inflation and weakness.
