    Ayurvedic Beauty Care Tips

    Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine and well-being. It has a wide range of herbs and herbal formulations for ailments ranging from the simple ones like constipation and acne to more serious disorders like diabetes and blood pressure. Also, there are tips and techniques for general health and well-being. Along with internal health and well-being, there is also emphasis given on external health and beauty, as this is considered to be equally important for overall health.

    Ayurvedic beauty care tips
    There is great importance given to external beauty and appearance in Ayurveda. This is because external appearance is proof of internal health. If you are healthy in body and mind, your external appearance will be pleasant and healthy as well. But if you sick either physiologically or psychologically, that shown externally as well.

    Here are some general beauty herbs and tips that can help with both internal health and external beauty.

    • Aloe vera: This is a herbal plant whose gel is very useful for skincare and haircare as well as for ailments troubling the heart and digestive system. It also has a cooling effect on the body.
    • Neem (Margosa): It is used in the treatment of skin ailments as well as a natural anti-parasitic and detoxification herb. Its leaves and oil are widely used for these purposes.
    • Dried manjal (Turmeric): It is powdered and made into a paste using water or milk and applied all over the face and even body to avoid facial and body hair and give a glow to the skin.
    • Hibiscus: The flower and leaves can be crushed into a powder and mixed with water to make a natural shampoo that is known for its amazing cleansing properties.
    • Mailanchi or Henna: This is a well-known herb that is used for blisters, pimples, scabies, itchiness, burns, cracked nails as well as to keep the hair healthy and stimulate hair growth.
    • Kayyonni (Eclipta alba): It has a cooling effect and is used in the making of coconut oil. It also helps keep the hair voluminous and thick and maintain its dark color.
    • Yoga: This is mainly important for keeping your body healthy and fit as well as keeping stress away. It helps keep the mind calm and composed and get a hold over emotional outbursts.

    These are some tips and ways by which you can look and feel more beautiful, the Ayurvedic way.
