    White Lotus Benefits

    White lotus has various health benefits. The botanical name of white lotus is Nymphaea Lotus, which belongs to the family Nymphaeaceae. White lotus is also known by various other names such as Tiger Lotus, Sweet-Scented Pond Lily, Egyptian White Water Lily, Wild Pond Lily, Toad Lily, Water Lily, Sweet Water Lily, Cow Cabbage, Blue Lotus, Water Cabbage, Blue Lily of the Nile and Sacred Blue Lotus.

    White lotus has various chemicals such as nuciferine, bioflavonoids, phytosterols, phosphoiesterase, fructose, glucose, sucrose, galacturonic acid, mannitol, amoni acids and raffinose. Thus, the herb is important as a medicine. Various health benefits of white lotus are described in this article.

    Benefits of White Lotus
    Several uses and benefits of white lotus are as follows:

    • Aphrodisiac — This plant is used by both men and women for cure of various diseases. The herb enhances general health and sexual vigour when used for a prolonged period. It is an effective sexual stimulant than viagra.
    • Pain Reliever — White lotus is also an effective pain reliever.
    • Blood Circulation — It enhances blood circulation in the body. It is even effective than Ginkgo biloba.
    • Memory Enhancement — The herb is an effective treatment for memory enhancement, which also creates the feeling of ecstasy and euphoria.
    • Stomach Disorders — The rhizome of the herb is used to treat various stomach disorders such as dysentery, diarrhea, general debility and dyspepsia.
    • The herb is also used internally for treatment of jaundice and gastrointestinal disorders.
    • The leaves of the herb are also used to treat various skin infections, pregnancy and eye treatments.

    Other uses of white lotus includes:

    • White lotus flowers are boiled and tea is prepared which creates a euphoric glow.
