Instead of taking vitamins directly make sure your diet contains vitamin rich foods. Vegetables like beans, carrots and peas, eggs, nuts and bran can help in hair growth.

    There are also shampoos and conditioners that contain vitamins. But it is not good rely on these alone. You can go for a hot oil treatment once or twice in a month. It helps in keeping your hair healthy. These are affordable alternatives rather than taking vitamins for hair growth every day. Anyway there is no danger of taking more vitamins for hair growth.

    Folic acid is a water-soluble B vitamin that is very effective for healthy hair growth. It can be found in Brewer’s yeast, liver, fruits, leafy vegetables, oranges, rice, soybeans, and wheat. Apart from helping in hair growth it also helps in normal red blood cell formation, maintains the central nervous system, and is also helpful for normal growth and development. It is also effective in treatment of certain anemia and sprue.
