    Herbs To Take Care Of Your Eyes

    Eyes are the most sensitive of all our sense organs. Again they are also the organs who are overworked and often are not taken care adequately. This negligence takes the form of many eye problems like stye, blurred vision, pain etc. Simple herbs can come of use in treating them.

    Herbs To Take Care Of Your Eyes
    The most important herbs for eye care are listed below:

    • Coriander Seeds: Coriander seed decoction when used as eyewash is effective in treating conjunctivitis. Coriander seed decoction is highly effective in relieving redness, burning sensation and swelling of the eyes.
    • Parsley: This is one of the most effective herbs for eye care. Raw juice of parsley is highly effective in treating eye problems like weak eyes, sluggishness of the pupils, cataract, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis and opthalmia.
    • Marigold: Marigold, which is a flower,  effectively treats stressed eyes. When stressed eyes are washed with the cold infusion of the herb, it gives a cooling effect to the eyes. It is observed that marigold is also effective in treating conjunctivitis.
    • Indian Gooseberry: It is considered to be an excellent herb for eye care. Indian gooseberry is used in treating many ocular problems. Indian gooseberry is highly effective in treating glaucoma and conjunctivitis. For better results it should be taken with honey.
    • Aniseed: Aniseed is considered to be highly beneficial in curing cataract. For effective results it is advisable to take one tbsp of Aniseed powder twice a day.
    • Acacia: Freshly prepared paste of acacia leaves is highly effective in treating conjunctivitis. It helps in relieving redness, itchiness and watery sore eyes.
    • Indian Sorrel: This herb is considered to have exceptional properties which are beneficial in treating many ocular problems. To prevent your eyes from stress just put few drops of its leaves juice in the eyes. Besides preventing eye strain it helps in preventing cataract.
