    What are Clip-On Sunglasses?

    Sunglasses provide protection from the sun rays and the harmful UV rays. Prescription sunglasses are now available which provide both UV protection and eyesight correction. However, these sunglasses can be very costly and might be prone to scratches. If you are looking for an alternative, you can choose clip on sunglasses. Clip on sunglasses just clip on the existing glasses, giving you the protection from the UV rays.

    What are Clip On Sunglasses?
    Clip on sunglasses are lens which can be clipped onto the existing eye wear. When used, they look similar to the prescription sunglasses, but they may be a bit bulky.

    Clip on sunglasses have several advantages. They can be worn when you would like to use them, and can be kept aside when not in use. They are easy to use. If there are scratches on the prescription sunglasses, you might have to wait for them to be replaced. However, if there are scratches on the clip ons, you can just remove the clip-ons and wear the normal glasses. The clip ons can be replaced without much trouble.

    Clip on sunglasses initially were a bit bulky. Nowadays, clip ons look sleek and look as good as normal sunglasses.

    There are various types of clip on sunglasses. Magnetic sunglasses can be easily attached to the existing glasses as they are polarized. Flip up sunglasses can be flipped up when not in use. Clip based glasses actually have clips which hold onto the glasses.

    Clip on sunglasses are great if you would like to have UV protection and eyesight correction. They are easy to use, easy to replace and convenient. So, if you are interested in these, do consult your ophthalmologist.
