suryaBy suryaDecember 15, 2008602 Mins Read

Red spot in eye is usually a harmless condition caused by the rupture and bleeding of the small blood vessels in your eye. This condition is also known as subconjunctival hematoma. While the red spot in eye may look scary, it is painless, does not require treatment and it subsides in 1 to 2 weeks

Red spot is caused due to the bleeding of tiny blood vessels under the conjunctiva. Conjunctiva is the thin, clear membrane covering the white portion (sclera) of the eye and the eyelids. When the tiny blood vessels between the conjunctiva and sclera break, blood leaks under the conjunctiva resulting in a red spot

Thanks for this clarification. I was worried when I got up this morning to see that red spot in my eye. I think it could be due to the exercise in the gym as I have increased the intensity. HOpe this is the cause.
