Big Breakfast Boosts Your Weight Loss

Big breakfast diet plan: Large breakfast may reduce your weight and lead you to the fittest world. A   new study released by the Endocrine Society indicates that eating a complete breakfast compared to a low calorie one could help lose weight effectively.

A registered dietician Tammy Fumusa from the Virginia Commonwealth University suggests that breakfast should always include some types of carbohydrates, proteins and some types of fats as well. He also says that a great breakfast combination can be an omelet with one piece of toast dressed with a pad of butter. This simple treat can fetch you a great ratio of fats, carbohydrates and proteins.

    What is Big Breakfast?
Researchers say that the “big breakfast diet plan“ works because it controls appetite and satisfies cravings for sweets. It is also healthier than low-carbohydrate diets because it contains more fiber and vitamin-rich fruits. “Most weight loss studies have determined that a very low carbohydrate diet is not a good method to reduce weight,”   states the Endocrine Society.

Scientists from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond compared their high carbohydrate and protein ‘big breakfast’ diet with a low carbohydrate diet in 94 obese women. Both diets were similar with their content of proteins and fats but differed in their carbohydrate content.

    Results of the Studies
After four months no significant change was seen with respect to weight loss of both dietary groups. But, after eight months the low carbohydrate diet group regained an average of 20 pounds, whereas the big breakfast dieters continued to lose weight at an average of 18 pounds.

The women on big breakfast diet lost more than 23 percent of their body weight, compared with just 5 percent for the low carbohydrate dieters. Those who ate a big breakfast reported that they felt less hungry before lunch and craved for more carbohydrates than those on the low carbohydrate diet.

Obesity is not a major problem for those who maintain a big breakfast with high carbohydrate content. You can slash your obesity problems with a hearty and healthy breakfast.
