    In countries, like America and India, obesity has become the common problem. One-third of the total population in America is classified as obese. When an adult is not able to maintain balance between his calories intake and energy expenditure, he is said to be in an obese condition.

    Unhealthy eating habits, poor diet and lack of exercise are the leading cause of obesity. There is a considerable increase in the percentage of obesity in children as well as in adults from past few years. Thus obesity is spreading like epidemic.

    Causes of Obesity:-

    • The food eaten by the people for pleasure which is not good for health.
    • The food such as beef and potatoes can lead to health problems.
    • Lack of physical activity.
    • Imbalance in calories consumed and calories burned or utilized.

    How to Change your Eating Habits?

    • Reduce eating the amount of meat.
    • Intake diet which has more vegetables and fruits.
    • Go for a vegetarian meals for few weeks. It will help you in increasing your health and reducing fat quickly.
    • Avoid consuming fast food and fried food
    • Reduce sugar and salt intake in your diet.
    • Intake whole grains instead of having white bread and pasta.
    • Drink a lot of water. Avoid drinking soda and juices.

    • Poor diet often leads to overweight.
    • When people eat too much of sugar, it leads to diabetes.
    • The saturated fats consumed by the person leads to heart disease.
    • The body can have greater risk of developing colon cancer,breast cancer and other harmful diseases if there is no intake of fruits,green leafy vegetable and fiber in their diet.
    • Intake of high salt in your diet leads to high blood pressure.
