    If you want to lose weight, do not adopt any crash diet fads and starve yourself. This could cause health problems. Instead, lose weight safely and steadily by following healthy tips. A good weight loss plan includes both proper diet and effective exercise. This article gives you a few tips on how to go about losing weight the healthy way.

    Effective Weight Loss Tips

    • To start with, find out what your ideal weight should be, based on your height.
    • If you are overweight, give yourself 3-6 months to lose the required weight.
    • Your goal should be to lose weight slowly and steadily to stay healthy.
    • If you haven’t exercised before, try to join a gym.
    • Maintain a diary with information about your daily food and calorie intake.
    • Ensure that every day you burn more calories than you consume.
    • While exercising, wear comfortable clothes and shoes to avoid injuries.
    • Always warm up before you begin your workouts.
    • Body areas with excess fat need more vigorous workouts. So, ensure you do more vigorous exercises to tone these areas.
    • Swimming, skipping and running can help one burn calories at a fast pace. So, focus on these workouts if they are suitable for you.
    • Sunday should be a rest day to give time for the body to recover.
