    How to Quit Smoking Marijuana

    Marijuana is the other name for weed. It is less dangerous than a filtered cigarette but is quite expensive. According to NSDUH, the most number of people affected by marijuana are the youth up to 18 years of age.

    People who decide to quit smoking should be strong minded and psychologically fit. Most of the people try to quit only due to reasons like Family Pressure, Some kind of disease, Awareness or inspiration or Accident due to marijuana intake.

    Tips on quitting marijuana:

    • To start with, think of not buying it. Its all in the head and we are the best person to refrain from smoking it.
    • Try and stay away from people who smoke it.
    • Find a reason to stop yourself. Think about people who have suffered because of smoking it. It might help you in cutting down.
    • Family support is very important and they are best people to motivate you.
    • Think of your family before smoking every puff of marijuana. Cancer risk associated with intake of marijuana and an early death might stop you from further intake of it.
    • If you are not able to quit at any cost, get into a rehab. It is an effective way.
    • Meditation would help you to keep your mind calm and composed.
    • Consult a doctor and take his advice. Go for regular check-ups.
    • Take pets for a walk or go with your family. Walking reduces stress and is also healthy.

    The determination to quit should come from within. There is no reason to feel shy or hesitate post quitting the ill-habit. Admire yourself that you are now putting yourself free from an evil addiction. Controlling the urge to intake marijuana is important. You need to promise yourself that you would stay away from it as much as possible.
