“Smoking cigarette is dangerous to health”. “Tobacco causes health problems”. If you think such; then here is some food for your thought. There is an increasing practice among kids to smoke candies by crushing it and breathing in and out the candy dust (perhaps trying to imitate their elders). Though it seems to be a harmless practice doctors are still concerned with the health hazards caused by inhaling the sugary dust.
    What Do Children Actually Do?
This latest trend is spreading super fast. Like various cases have come up where kids are found mixing peppermint and cola together to create a frothy eruption. Kids imitate the adults, who are indulged into smoking tobacco and various tobacco based products. Children have started taking up inhaling it too. The entire case has become a huge concern for the parents. Numerous videos on the net have made it a more popular practice than it would have been. Many have become proficient in blowing smoke rings while some can even exhale through their nose.
    Health Concerns
The doctors are more concerned about the smoke the kids are pulling in their lungs, whether it’s the smoke or the dust from the candy. Doctors say the ingredients could be safe for digestive system but it may have adverse affects on the respiratory system. It can lead to pneumonia in some cases.
    Guidance By Parents
Parents need to be very careful and keep a close watch on their child. Parents must spread a general awareness among the children about the adverse affects of smoking smarties. They must ensure that children develop a conscious against such similar practices and in turn if it’s required for them to quit smoking habit, parents must do the needful and quit smoking to ensure a better future for their children.
