    Depression

    Headache
    Smoking quitters often experience headaches and find it difficult to concentrate. They may also feel uncomfortable and sick. Since oxygen circulation to the brain increases, smoking quitters may also feel dizzy.

    Anger
    Quitting smoking can make an individual angry and frustrated. He/she often loses his/her temper. This could cause complications such as digestive problems and chest pain.     Insomnia
    Some smoking quitters may suffer from insomnia and lack of quality sleep. They may feel as if they have stayed awake the entire night. This can cause frustration and fatigue. Vivid nightmares and dreams are also another side effect of quitting smoking.

    Fidgeting, constipation, diarrhea, bloating and swelling are also common side effects. Some smoking quitters may overeat, and end up gaining weight.

    • Withdrawal symptoms last for only a few days. Hence one needs to be patient to get through them.
    • Regular exercise and a balanced diet can help one overcome the side effects of quitting smoking.
    • Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins from your body. This can also rejuvenate your skin.
