Each nicotine water bottle of 500ml contains 4 mg of nicotine. The water is purified and does not contain any chemicals. It tastes like regular water. The nicotine present in the water helps the user to overcome the nicotine withdrawal symptoms. The effect of one bottle is supposed to last for about 3 hours.

Unlike a cigarette, nicotine water does not contain the harmful chemicals. Though nicotine is addictive, it in itself does not cause cancer. So, a person trying to quit smoking may be benefited by drinking this water. He/she would not be taking in the harmful chemicals, which are associated with smoking.

Anti-smoking activists are concerned that this product can be easily exploited. As nicotine is addictive, a person can become used to the water and exploit it. Teens, kids stand vulnerable to this product.

FDA is reviewing the product and it may stop its sales if it is found harmful. Previously the sales of nicotine lollipops and lip balm by stores were stopped by the FDA. We do not know if this would be the case for nicotine water. As of now, the company website says that this water takes away the desire for smoking. Since it is a new product, it would be better to choose trusted quit smoking means such as nicotine patches than going for this product.
