    Every runner must have had experienced some fears of running during their first race. Each runner has some fear when they are running for an event. Each runner has different fears during running but, a few of them which are common among most of the runners are listed below.

      When you are running for an national event this could be one of the common fear. Most of national events are based on time. Each of the runners might be worried about completing the event within the alloted time. Each one of you might have the fear of coming last. This fear of coming last occurs only when there is lack of practice for your event. One best way to overcome this fear is to manage the distance against time.
    2. People feel Intimidated
      A few of the runners might have the fear of running in crowds and they might feel intimidated when they run in crowds. One of the best way of overcoming this fear is leave the fear of spectators and try to think from their perspective. Spectators who are judging think of having the fitness as that of yours while they watch your race.
    3. Break Time
      A few of the runners have the fear of taking a break during their runs or the events. You can overcome this fear when you find a partner taking break during an event. If you are the only one taking the break during the event, then you might have to look up for fun run till you complete your break time. If you have a partner to take a break during your event, then you might feel that you can cover the distance against time.
    4. Expectations
      Each one of you might have some expectations for the event which you are appearing for. A few of you might have the anxiety, while others might be tensed if they are running race for the first time.
    5. Age Factor
      A few of them might have the interest of running races, but they think of the age factor. If you are fit and healthy then age factor is irrespective when it comes to physical activities.
