    What are the Common Sprains and Strains among Runners?
    Sprains and strains are common among runners. Running injuries become common when you get familiar with running. You can overcome running injuries only when you do running routine.

    Common Types of Sprains
    There are a few sprains which are common in almost every runner. The common types of sprains are mentioned below.

    • Ankle Sprain
      As we all know the entire body weight is put on the feet. Ankle sprain is found to be one of the common pains among the running injuries. This occurs when you do not place your feet properly while running. Ankle sprain also occurs when there is problem in the running shoes.
    • Wrist Sprain
      Wrist sprains can occur only when you fall on the ground while running. It is common for almost every runner to face the injuries at least once in his/her running career.
    • Symptoms and Signs of Sprains
      There are some signs and symptoms of sprains. Pain, bruising and swelling are some of the commonly found symptoms when you have sprains. Remember that, these symptoms might vary depending on the intensity of the pain.

    Common Types of Strains
    Every person who participates or does physical activities undergoes strain during their workouts. It also depends on whether you are familiar with your workouts or not. If you are familiar with your workouts, then you can avoid straining yourself by taking some measures. When you are not familiar with your workouts, then you might strain yourself during the workouts. The following are the common types of strains.

    • Back Strain
      When you do not have a proper running posture, then there are huge chances for you to experience back strain.
    • Hamstring Strain
      When you do not place your feet properly then you might experience hamstring injury.
    • Tendon Strain
      This strain occurs when you fall on the ground while running. So, by taking preventive measures during workouts you can avoid the risk of injuries.
    • Symptoms and Signs of Strains
      Swelling, inflammation and cramping can be the symptoms of strain. People who are suffering from strain experience severe pain in the injured area.
