    Healthy diet foods are very important to stay fit physically. You can include foods which you are using in your routine diet. The following are the healthy diet foods for runners which you can include in the regular diet.

    1. Salmon
      Include in your Diet
      You can use salmon in sandwiches, chowder and salads too. Salmon is a fish which is versatile in nature.. You can add fresh herbs and then bake it. After baking you can grill and poach it. Canned salmon is considered to be very good for health.

      How is it useful
      One of the excellent sources of protein is salmon and also a good food source of fats, which play a major role in the functional and development of brain.

    2. Low-fat Yogurt
      Include in your Diet
      You can make use of yogurts of your choice. You can use them either in the morning while having your breakfast or in the noon. You can make smoothies using yogurt which tastes really good.

      How is it useful
      Yogurt of low fat are great sources of carbs and proteins. Yogurt also contains calcium which plays a very important role in bone development and recovery from stress fractures.

    3. Bananas
      Include in your Diet
      Bananas are easy and convenient for consuming either in meals or as snacks. You can make several food items by mixing the bananas with other items. You can make smoothies by adding cereals and skimmed milk to the frozen bananas.

      How is it useful
      Bananas are the rich source of potassium and carbohydrates. If you think you are lacking potassium then you include bananas to your diet.

    4. Peanut with Butter
      Include in your Diet
      Peanuts when used along with butter is good for health. Use the natural oil along with peanuts and no other ingredients. This is considered as multi-grain bread when you use peanuts with grains and butter.

      How is it useful
      Peanuts are really tasty when you eat it with butter. You do not feel fattening when you eat peanut with butter as it do not contain cholesterol. It is rich in proteins and helps in repairing and building the damaged muscles.
