    Infomation on Sunstroke Symptoms

    Sunstroke is one of the common problem which is found among almost everyone in hot weather. If you run in the hot weather then there are huge chances for you to face the risk of sunstroke.

    Sunstroke symptoms
    Sunstroke is one of the life threatening problem in humid conditions. If you are through sunstroke then your body might not be in a state to regulate the original body temperature. There are a few symptoms of sunstroke when you go through the hot weather conditions. Medical attention should be given to the person facing sunstroke to prevent organ failure and brain damage. One of the most commonly found symptom is unconsciousness. For a few of them, you might find their skin turning red.

    Cause
    Weather changes are responsible for sunstroke. When you run in the humid weather conditions then you might have to face the risk of sunstroke. Even by doing the hard and strenuous workouts during the humid temperature you might have to face the risk of sunstroke.

    Prevention
    The following are a few of the steps which help you in preventing sunstroke.

    • Maintaining Hydration levels
      If you maintain the hydration levels of your body then this might help you in preventing sunstroke. Hydration levels can be balanced by consumption of water by maintaining consistency.
    • Consumption of Fluids
      Consumption of fluids include not just water, but, also includes sports drinks and energy drinks. But, it is suggested to consume fluids in lot of amounts to prevent sunstroke.
    • Hydration stops
      If you are going for a long distance runs, then you can have hydration stops. You can carry energy drinks for your long distance runs and consume fluids at your hydration stops.
    • Sports drinks might be used for replacing
      A few of them assume that water is the only drink that you can consume to maintain hydration levels in the body. It is advisable to use sports drinks and even the energy drinks to remain hydrated. Sports drinks and energy drinks can be used for replacing water when you are going for heavy workouts.

    Treatment
    A person suffering from sunstroke should be treated be fluids and also use cooling methods to overcome suffering.
    Icing can be done if the person is not comfortable with the temperature surrounding him. Make sure that the person is immediately shifted to an emergency room so that he can come down to normal temperature.
