    Injury prevention can be made possible only when you are prepared for an activity both mentally and physically. Most of the runners plan workouts for weekends. It is advisable not to stress yourself during weekends.Training should be balanced with rest in order to avoid the injuries.

    There are huge chances for you to avoid injuries if you understand and follow the tips that are mentioned below.

    1. Proper usage of gear for a sport helps to prevent injuries. Running shoes, knee pads, helmets and the gloves should be appropriate for any sport.
    2. Warm up helps your body and muscles to relax from all the body pains. You need to relax your muscles before starting any sport activity. You muscles get relaxed when you go for a warmup.
    3. Sports like soccer, basketball, hockey and volleyball involve alot of quick and dynamic movements. Warmup becomes mandatory for those sports involving the quick and flexible movements.
    4. It is advisable to use proper body mechanics for the sports that are extremely strenous. It becomes very hard to manage these strenuous sports without an instructor or a certified coach.
    5. Sometimes while playing sports you might notice the injuries that are minor. But you feel some pain during your activity. You need to know that pain is a sign of an injury. You are advised not to stress yourself in pain. Even though you cannot stop the activity but can slow down your activity till the pain subsides.
    6. You need to know certain techniques when you are going for any sport activity. You should go through some training when you are not aware of a particular sport. You need to possess some skills that are required for that particular sport.
    7. In case you get injured while playing a sport you need to take some rest for certain time. If the injury is minor, then you can continue with your sport by taking rest. You need to consult a doctor sooner you find a major injury. But as a sports person you are advised to pay attention to the pain of a smaller injury.
