    Tips for long distance running

    Proper diet

    • As a runner it is very important for you to remember your diet. In long distance running most of the calories get burnt and you might be exhausted soon after your run.
    • Proper diet not includes only the food but also hydration. It is very important that you maintain hydration levels in your body. If the consumption of food is excess then you might feel nauseous, and if you consume too little amount of food then you might feel giddy.
    • If you want to be safe from all the health problems during your run, then consumption of food should be proper before running and even while practicing for your run.

    Proper running suit

    • It is very important that you have a proper running suit during your run. Experts say to carry a T-shirt and a short for running. This could be one of the best thing that you could do for your running. You can even carry sprays which you can use it when there are sprains in your leg.
    • Most of the runners divide the distance into two or three sets by taking small breaks in the run. If you have a proper running suit you can avoid disturbances in your run.

    Timings

    • Whether it is a long run or a short run time plays a prominent role when it comes to running. Since you are going for a long run you might set certain timings for your run.
    • It is very important for you to set time during your run. It is advisable to set your timings while practicing your run.

    You must be aware of the distance of your run before attending marathon. As it is long distance run, the run shall not be on the track as that of the short runs.
