    Top 5 Diet Mistakes of Runners

    Skipping breakfast
    The common mistake that many runners make is skipping their breakfast..This could be of due to several reasons like lack of time because of rigorous practice , for which they may put in a few hours every day.Having a little breakfast might give a good start to the day.This is suggested not only for runners but for every one in general.

    Not consuming food for long time after a run
    Many of them do not consume food for a long time after the run as they are suggested to give a small break after their run.Keeping that in mind, people sometimes miss out their breakfast too.It is advised to give a break but not to miss out on breakfast.Generally it is advised to give a break for about half an hour or so and then consume food.

    Lot of consumption of foods or fliuds after the run
    As a runner, this is the basic thing to remember.Many of the runners assume that even though they missed out breakfast they will get lots of energy if they consume a lot of foods or fluids after the run.This is the major thing which leads to certain changes in your body and might even effect your regular schedule.

    Going for dieting in order to lose weight
    Most of the runners skip their breakfast thinking that they can have a meal directly instead of breakfast.They assume that this helps in reducing weight.This is not advisible to anyone.This might affect your health.

    Not consuming necessary amounts of fluids
    As a runner it is very important to remember to consume the necessary amounts of fluids.Lack of fluids may lead to dehydration.Dehydration can be a serious problem,especially when you run in hot environments. Consumption of fluids before and after the run helps in maintaining the hydration levels.So it is better to consume necessary amounts of fluids that are required for your body.
