    Top 5 eating Rules for Runners.

    There are certain rules for consuming foods that runners need to follow. Many runners tend to forget eating rules as they are busy with their practice. It is suggested that they follow certain rules for better results to reach their goals as food plays a major role in a runners life.

    Always have breakfast
    Never try to avoid breakfast as it helps maintain energy levels. It is not necessary that breakfast should be heavy. It can be light like a slice of bread along with a glass of milk and an egg. But you should avoid skipping breakfast and then consuming a large meal to lose weight.

    Consume the necessary amounts of fluids
    Fluid is very essential for everyone.It is very important to maintain the hydration levels of our body. Especially the runners who run during summer should maintain appropriate levels of hydration. If the fluid levels are not appropriate then you may feel weak and giddy while you run.

    Frequent small meals throughout the day
    It is very important to have small amounts of food throughout the day especially if you can’t consume in large amounts. It is suggested to consume meals in small amounts rather having a huge meal.

    Consume foods which are mixed
    Try not to stick to a certain type of food all through the week. These days pasta has become very popular in runners diet. There are many other fruits and vegetables which are nutritious and rich in fiber. You can alter your diet and experiment by mixing. Try to make it a habit of consuming a variety of fruits, so that you can gain all the vitamins, minerals etc that are required for you as a runner.

    Remain hydrated

    • Runners should make up for the calories that are lost while running(or during their run). Make sure that you consume fluids before and after you run, if it’s a short run. If your session is a bit longer (suppose,beyond 45 minutes),it is suggested that you carry a water bottle.
    • If you have lost weight, then you need to drink more of fluids to remain hydrated. Make sure you stay hydrated by consuming fluids that contain good amounts of glucose levels.
    • It is suggested that runners follow certain rules when they are consuming food and always stay hydrated for better results.
