    Types of Running and their Benefits

    Types of Running
    The various types of running are mentioned below.

    1. Casual Running
      There are many people who run for fitness which could be physical, mental or psychological. People who are not appearing for any event and are running only for fitness purpose are considered to be casual runners.
    2. Treadmill Running
      If the weather is bad outside then you might not be able to run outside. So, in such cases, you can go for treadmill running if you want to avoid disturbances in your running schedule. This is an alternative to outdoor running. Treadmill running is considered to be much easier than running out on a running track.
    3. Racing
      There are a few runners who might be interested in running road races. The majority of runners who run races or participate in the running races do so only for goal setting. If they have any specific goals or interest in appearing any events then they are more likely to participate in a number of races. In general, the races are conducted by running clubs and some communities which take the initiative of conducting running events.
    4. Trail Running
      If you do not like running on the road then you can go for trail running. Trail running is considered to be one of the best options of running for those who are interested in enjoying the scenery.

      There are a few people who run just to lose weight. You can lose weight by running for certain distances by maintaining a running schedule.

      If you are running routinely then you might find that running is helpful not just for physical fitness but also for mental and psychological fitness.
    • Social Benefits
      Participating in the running events that are conducted by various clubs might help you to have good relationships socially.
