    How to do Juice Fast for Weight Loss

    Fasting has been practiced for flushing out the toxins and pollutants from the body and mind. This method is now followed for losing weight. This is a healthy alternative to the traditional fast that allows only water to consume. This contains only juice. Juices are considered to have antioxidants and vitamins. Juice helps to support some body needs when you refrain from solid foods.

    How to do Juice Fast for Weight Loss?

    • Begin juice fast in the spring or summer, when vegetables and fruits are available readily.
    • Abstain eggs, fish, animal meat, wheat, caffeine, nicotine, dairy, alcohol and sugar from the diet for a week prior to the beginning the fast.
    • Practice the fasting preparation diet that consists of beans, organic vegetables and fruits for seven days leading to the juice fast.
    • Drink about 32 — 64 ounce of juice every day during the fast. You can take several varieties of juice diets.
    • Drink more water during the fast. It is very important to take at least 6 glasses of water at the room temperature.
    • Gradually break the juice fast by including solid foods into the diet. It is must yo start with few pieces of fruits on first day and slowly return to the balanced diet. Stop adding carbohydrates if you notice that weight loss is decreasing.

    How to Maintain Weight Loss after the Juice Fast?

    • You should stick to only fluids on the first day after the juice fast. You must also be cautious about the not consuming much sugar and dairy. You can also have some steamed vegetables and fruits.
    • On the second day, drink more juice and also consume more vegetables and fruits.
    • You can have regular vegetables and fruits on the third day instead of juices.
    • On the fourth day, try to have more dairy products and also certain grains and foods with good amounts of fiber.
    • You can have seafood in the lunch and dinner on the fifth day.
    • On the sixth day, start eating meats such as turkey or chicken.
    • Start eating red meats on the seventh day. This is the perfect time to return to the normal diet.
