adminBy adminJuly 28, 2019002 Mins Read

The word chi means energy. The concept of chi has its origin thousands of years ago in the far east. The universe is made up of matter and energy. Physics deals with study of matter and energy along with their interrelation.

One of the fundamental principles of Physics says , energy can neither be created nor destroyed but only it can change from one form to another.

Our human body is one system where every instant, one form of energy is getting converted to another form. Scholars of the east, focused their concentration on feeling this mechanism, through the concept of chi .

    Types of Chi

The Human Chi is of two types. They are:

    • The post-birth Chi:It is the energy that we get from the food we eat and the air we breathe .On entering the body ,they initiate chemical reactions which release energy ( one of the forms of chi, chemical energy). This energy is used by the cell to carry out all metabolic activities.
    • The pre-birth Chi: It is the energy that we get from our parents at the time of our birth. It gets activated the moment we take our first breath and lasts till we breath our last. The pre-birth chi is more powerful than the post-birth chi because this is the energy that turns our thoughts into actions.

    Benefits of Chi

The pre-birth chi is made up of two mains elements:

    • Our thoughts
    • and our breathe.

The scholars of the east believe that by practicing techniques to control our thoughts and breathe we can develop, control and channelize chi and reap the following benefits:

    • It is an effective way to improve health.
    • It can cure wide range of diseases that are difficult to treat using western techniques.
    • It can help us to attain high level of mental calmness.

    Happy living !
