The Process of Detoxification and Fasting

adminBy adminAugust 4, 2009002 Mins Read

The metabolic activities in our body basically carry out three important functions of absorbing the food, digesting it to extract energy   and excreting   the waste products. But the process of excretion do not take place completely by our excretory organs alone. And the presence of toxic materials in our body make us ill.

    Fasting:

Fasting is a process   where the organs involved in the process of digestion get complete rest . In this stage , the body is left out with the undigested waste materials   which get excreted. In this way fasting leads to detoxification of the body.

    When we fast:

    – The body burns the fats in our body to provide energy for carrying out its essential activities.
    – The fat cells on burning release a substance called the triglycerides. When the triglyceride get   oxidized, acids called ketones are formed.
    – The ketones are the sources of energy, when the body fasts.
    – All the vital organs of the body essentially involved in the process of digestion get a deserved rest and break from their work.
    – However, at this state the efficiency of the body is 75%   of its normal state. That is why, rest is mandatory while we fast.

    The process of detoxification:

The process of detoxification is carried out by the enzymes present in our body. They clean the waste materials which get accumulated in the walls of the intestine.   Enzymes detoxify the body because of their degradation ability.

Benefits after detoxification of the body:

    – Rejuvenation of the digestive organs after rest.
    – Enhancement in the process of digestion due to cleaning of intestine walls.
    – Enhancement in the absorption ability of the digestive system.
    – High performance of the Immune system .
    – Improvement in the overall physiological performance of the body.
    – Rise in the activities of the cells in our body.
